It was long before the VIP system, about a year ago SFF used to send out regular Show emails, I get the odd email for shows so they must have the database still.

I have the link which used to be in the show emails which goes to a Survery Monkey link which was how you signed up. Whether they still use it, I don't know.

If anyone's interested, they are doing a dance performanance at the Saaatchi Gallery, but it's not free:

To celebrate their first exhibition dedicated entirely to sculpture The Shape of Things to Come: New Sculpture, the Saatchi Gallery has invited The Place to realise a one-off special night of contemporary dance with Richard Alston Dance Company.

Richard Alston, one of the UK’s most acclaimed choreographers, will lead his dancers in the magnificent spaces of the Duke of York’s HQ building to recreate some of his iconic pieces and site-specific compositions, chosen in response to the spaces of the Gallery.

Sculpture inspires a physical response in the viewer, and so does dance. The Place and the Saatchi Gallery have teamed up to explore further the possibilities of interaction between the two.

The event is conceived as a loose promenade show, in which the audience is invited to discover dance episodes scattered throughout the exhibition. Figurative and abstract sculptural forms on both a monumental and miniature scale will create a dramatic backdrop against which the dancers will engage with the space in new ways.

The Shape of Things To Come: New Sculpture provides an unprecedented look at the work of 20 leading and emerging sculpture artists today, including David Altmejd, John Baldessari, David Batchelor, Peter Buggenhout, Berlinde De Bruyckere, Matthew Brannon, Bjorn Dahlem, Folkert de Jong, Roger Hiorns, Martin Honert, Thomas Houseago, Joanna Malinowska, Kris Martin, Matthew Monahan, Dirk Skreber, Anselm Reyle, Sterling Ruby, David Thorpe, Oscar Tuarzon and Rebecca Warren.

Tickets for the event are available from The Place box office:

www.theplace.org.uk / 0044 (0)207 121 1100

Price: £10

The event has a limited capacity; book your place in advance to avoid disappointment.

I won some camping tickets, so wasn't sure! I've never been to a camping festival, not sure if it's my thing in wintry September! haha

And it's very far from London!

Yes, up north would be a lot cooler in September! Take thermals! :giggle:

It looks good though.
