Re: Water For Elephants
I got called yesterday and offered Premier tickets which was good, a bit short notice but do able.
When I got there I was stunned to see the dress code was evening glamour or something like that. Well that red carpet was a total walk of shame. To make it even worse, there a heck of a lot of red carpet to get round, then you have to go up 3 or 4 escalators till you get to safety
. I hvae never ever seen a premiere where 99% are dressed up. Its usually Bond or Royal premiers.
We were in the Vue Extreme, yay but in row B Booo. It was far to near for such a massive screen.
I quite enjoyed the film, a lot better than I thought it was going to be. Christoph stole the show from Rosie by a whisker 7/10 for the pair of them

Valda my ticket was for row b too, screen 6. i got given it today from the person who went instead of me and she gave me flowers too. we weren't told it was evening glamour either - which was good as when i rocked up for half an hour i was in leggings and a top carrying a chair and a rucksack having slept for 3 hours and camped outside on southbank since 4am! so i probably looked the furthest removed from evening glamour as you could get!! It was my mum who won the comp not me, but i'm counting it as my win as had i been able to go i would have! i was in tears that morning not knowing what to do. having been told that i wouldn't have seen him for more than the short while when he introduced the film i'm glad i did what i did and saw him and reese for an hour. i'll never forget it and i'm 100% glad i didn't do the red chair! Valda is it true he sat in for a while with everyone too?

My cousin is freaking out about this movie so bad. But she also likes the boyband Blue so I'm not sure whether to trust her taste or not XD

Re: Water For Elephants
Saw this last Sunday at the Reading preview. Cinema was 100% full. Last couple allowed in had to split up as only single seats left. Did feel a bit sorry for them
As for the film, I have to say I didn't think this was anything but average. I too got bored in parts and that's when I knew the film wasn't gripping me as much as I'd like! I'll give it 7/10 and 6 of those are for Rosie!!!

Re: Water For Elephants
er no, not that I saw, as far as I remember they all trooped in and all trooped out didn't even say hello. The talent have never stayed at any of the premiers I've been to. Maybe it was another screen. Anyway, he couldn't have because they had to get to LWT for the record. Also, thinking about it we didn't even see him interviewed on the red carpet. So you made the best choice, going to Grahamaruif wrote:Valda my ticket was for row b too, screen 6. i got given it today from the person who went instead of me and she gave me flowers too. we weren't told it was evening glamour either - which was good as when i rocked up for half an hour i was in leggings and a top carrying a chair and a rucksack having slept for 3 hours and camped outside on southbank since 4am! so i probably looked the furthest removed from evening glamour as you could get!! I saw this at Norwich Odeon and I absolutely loved it! It didn't spare any punches, it was real and moving. Yes the animal cruelty bit was horrible, but thats what life is like for animals in the circus sometimes, it think it was refreshing not to have it sugar coated. Rosie was by far the best actress though!
