absolutely! I like Spartacus Gore as its totally non realistic and OTT, I hope Game of Thrones is equally non realstic

Actually thinking about it more, Gladiator:Blood of Sand cant be beaten in the gore department. That series practically strives on it! Oh and sex too. I suppose there are lot of modern tv series that are ultra gory these days. The Walking Dead is another one.

Spartacus tries to evoke the imagery of a graphic novel, with the blood splatters and the moody background colours. I do enjoy the gore and violence though, it's a nice change from the other dramas I watch. The sex scenes are made a bit theatrical but I guess the style of the show and late time slot allow it.

I do miss Andy Whitfield though. I think his absence is quite noticeable but hopefully they can develop the chacter of Crixus further to make him more interesting.

Oh, and thanks for the Game of Thrones video, Mr G, but I would rather wait 2 weeks until I can watch the whole episode. ;)

the sex seemed even more OTT in episode one. Crixus will develop and cut his hair but you are right, its not the same without And. LOl its strange that Dominus isn't called Dominus yet as he's just a lowly gladiator

Is anyone watching Treme? Think it is currently being shown on Sky Atlantic. I moved house around the time it started so have missed the first 5-6 episodes. Not sure if I should make an effort to catch up or just give this one a miss for now and hope to catch repeats later on. It looks like the type of series I could get hooked on.

Spartacus: I'm just wondering why they bothered to call Spartacus that anymore, it's not like he's there...

Treme: I've been enjoying it and it's not my usual type of thing. If I have Treme recorded I'll watch it over Boardwalk Empire which lots of people seem to rate...
