From the producers of A Viennese Strauss Gala and Magical Mozart, this stunning fully costumed show immerses us in the wonderful music and the classical baroque world of some of the world’s greatest romantic composers - Vivaldi, Handel and Bach.
With beautiful settings, costumes and lighting, and of course candles, the European Baroque Ensemble and Singers transport you back to the sumptuous past.
A packed programme of classical music and song, which includes excerpts from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Handel’s Water Music and Bach’s wonderfulToccata and Fugue in D minor. Also, excerpts from these classical maestro’s operas, sung by world class soloists, who alongside the European ensemble, give you a candlelit Baroque night to remember!

In partnership with Lynx, Shortlist is hosting 48 Hours To, a series of free gigs. Yes, absolutely free. And next up is Mecury Award winner, Gaz Coombes.
Gaz Coombes has earned his place as one of the most beloved musicians of the past 20 years. His latest album Matador garnered strong reviews and a Mercury Prize Album of the Year nomination, building on the success of debut solo outing Here Come The Bombs. And, of course, the pride of Oxford was lead singer of all-conquering Supergrass, whose hits include the likes of Alright, Moving and Pumping On Your Stereo.

The Hairy Ape – The Old Vic



We are absolutely delighted to have just a few tickets for The Hairy Ape a new play by Eugene O’Neill on both the 30th & 31st October at 7.30pm in the legendary Old Vic theatre, Waterloo as we are looking for feedback for the producers.



The Hairy Ape tells the story of Yank, played by Bertie Carvel, a labourer who revels in his status as the strongest stoker on a transatlantic ocean liner. But when Yank is called a ‘filthy beast’ by the overbred daughter of a steel merchant, he experiences an awakening of consciousness that leads him on a journey through the wealthy neighbourhoods and disenfranchised underbelly of New York society. Searching for a way to belong, Yank is forced to confront primal questions about his true place in the world.
