Yes, the get together was a lovely idea! Can't believe the temperature dropped to 13degreesC today. And I was totally not prepared with a flimsy t-shirt on!
Autumn has arrived. I've only been living here for less than 4 years, but my experience tells me that we only get a few days of proper summery weather here in London.
I got my free tickets yesterday for the Rage Against the Machine gig on Sunday in Finsbury Park. I hope the weather gets better by then.

I'm surprised to hear it was so cold in central London yesterday. I was working yesterday but when driving home early afternoon, my car said it was 16 or 17 C outside and I was certainly warm enough and t-shirt weather when I went for my afternoon walk, and I'm only in Surrey, so not that far away. No wind there, either.

Beate wrote:We had a bit of a FMUK get together this morning. Andrews is in town, so we met her and bevvy, prettyxcool and hdaniel82 at 10.30am in front of the London Eye. Waited half an hour in the cold for a_person (who has apparently lived in London all her life) to find the London Eye (understandable, it's so tiny

), then went for coffee together. After that, andrews, bevvy plus family and OH and myself went for lunch at Pizza Express where we all witnessed bevvy getting a phonecall about winning 4 tickets for Shrek Forever After tomorrow! How does she do it!!!! It was really lovely to meet andrews and all the others, we should do this more often! Maybe wait for warmer weather though, LOL.
heyyyy! I just woke up!! How can you expect me to be alert at 10:30am? Anyway, I found it eventually! It was such a long walk to the station though! Nobody told me that.
It was nice finally meeting andrews and hdaniel82 too! And a good catch up with you and prettyxcool.
Should do it again.

Long walk - huh - takes two minutes from the South Bank exit of Waterloo station? Which station did you come from?
Yeah, likewise, nice catch up!
Thought London Eye is a well known location - it's not that tiny!
