Went on a boat cruise today and had to go inside the ship as couldn't stand the heat anymore! It's white asparagus season here right now so i am stuffing myself with this food of the gods. Have so missed it! Gonna do some shopping tomorrow. There was a public holiday here today, and unlike in the UK, all the shops were shut! Completely knackered now.
Yea! I love the Eurostar! It was hot here too today. White asparagus always tastes better overseas, I miss it too.

I went bowling with friends tonight - forgotten how fun and enjoyable it is! I even got two strikes - so pleased with myself, haven't played in years!

Hope you're enjoying your holiday, Beate. Glad that Eurostar was such a great success and hope you didn't need to check in 3 hours ahead!

It's not a case of "IT Help" but can anyone please explain to me why our e-mail is down (has been since last night) but our broadband is OK (thank goodness!), since they're supplied by the same company? Do they use different servers for different functions? I know they are aware of the issue but it's a long outage now.

What a busy week I've had! I've scarcely been at home! London, the Lake District, Newcastle, cinema, theatre, eating more meals out in one week than I normally do in a month.

Hubby and I had a fabulous time in London over Bank Holiday weekend, and returned home footsore and weary, though pleasantly so.

I'd like to say a big thank you to all my new friends in London, who came to meet me - Beate, a_person, Bevvy, prettyxcool, hdaniel82, MariaLionza and ejwrank. It was a pleasure to meet each and every one of you. Thanks for making time to see me - I know it's not easy - we all lead such busy lives.
Hope to do it again some time, and maybe catch up with a few more of our London members. :D

It was a pleasure and lovely to meet you too! what a fab holiday you had. UK has some of the loveliest places too and we don't hear enough about it! I love visiting places in the UK and had some great times travelling round the UK. Yep, see you soon, whether it be back here in London or up north where you are!
