Wigmore Hall, Sunday5th June at 7.30pm

The Eggner Trio’s survey of the piano trios ofHaydn and Dvořák continues with two works written by Haydn, either in London or soon after his return to Vienna in 1795, for the starpianist Therese-Jansen Bartolozzi. The three Eggner brothers, universallyacclaimed for their instinctive communication and cultivated artistry, closetheir seductive programme with Dvořák’s Piano Trio in Gminor Op. 26, a wonderfully forthright work of bristling energy and rhythmicélan.

Wigmore Hall, Saturday11th June at 7.30pm

Barnabás Kelemen’s deeply rooted affinity forBartók is reflected in his Gramophone Award-winning recording of the works inthis programme. Bartók’s two violin sonatas received their UK premières inLondon respectively in 1922 and 1923, within weeks of their first performancesin Budapest, while the Sonata for solo violin was written for Yehudi Menuhinand first performed by him in New York in 1943.

#1797 Post by sailorlady » Sat Jun 04, 2016 9:42 pm

We are delighted to have a few complimentary tickets to the double Tony, triple Drama Desk and Golden Globe Award winning Broadway star Bernadette Peters at her first UK solo concerts in over 15 years on Tuesday 7th June at the Edinburgh Playhouse.

The Grammy and Emmy Award nominee will perform timeless, signature songs from the multitude of iconic shows in which she has played some of her greatest stage roles, including Gypsy, Into the Woods and Sunday in the Park with George.

We are very excited to have these review tickets for Edinburgh and ask you to ensure that T&C are adhered to in the hope we get more tickets from this fabulous venue – in particular:

- Showfilmfirst vouchers should be exchanged for allocated seating tickets at the main box office between 6 and 7pm on the day of performance. SFF vouchers will not be valid after 7pm

- Please do not contact the box office direct. There are only a few tickets available and this is a private arrangement with Showfilmfirst, unfortunately no special requests can be accomodated for these tickets.
