
Loved it just as much the second time although I do admit it is too long and takes too long to get going. The "I want to know what love is" duet which for me is the highlight of the film, isn't until an hour in, and you can actually snooze through until Tom Cruise makes a first appearance - but then it's really really good. He just steals the show in every scene he's in.
Also, and I am not saying this lightly, I have to commend the Vue Islington tonight who took care of a packed screening by counting the remaining empty seats, showing people where they were and not starting the film until everyone was seated. Ok, so that meant we started 10 minutes late, but I'd rather have that than have latecomers obscure my view and annoy the heck out of me for the first 10 minutes of the film.
I spoke to someone behind me in the queue who also went to the premiere last night - are you on FMUK? Lovely to see MariaLionza and cinefila1 who this time neither tried to sit on me nor lost her glasses case.
