Thanks Diane and other Manchester friends for all the organisation. Big thanks to yogi and OH for agreeing to meet me. Looking forward to our grand day out.

Sweet. Your plan to eat at 7pm enroute to Manor Park is very sound, it might actually be the cue for me to go get my telescope stuff and set it up at Manor Park...unless...I actually carry the rig with me for the whole duration of our meetup, meal, drinks and short walks so that I can spend optimal time with all of you. I can do it but it means I will be carrying a wheelie plus an expedition style rucksack. I can fit everything into the one rucksack but that limits the length of time I can walk around with it but if I offload half of the weight into the wheelie bag, I then I can walk around for the whole duration...I just have to be careful when walking into small shops...I am just thinking aloud here. I think I'll do just that so I can spend more time with you all but I'll try figure out alternatives, there's always a way around everything.

Also, I perfectly understand if my planned telescope viewing session may not be some of your cuppa tea and perhaps prefer to spend the last hour of your stay at an ale house...no problem! Options are always a nice thing to have :) However, if you have never looked through one, I do recommend you take this opportunity, I am confident you wont regret it (weather allowing!). One more thing, are you all going to leave at 9:38pm or 10:38pm (last train)? If some or all of you decide on the 10:38pm, then we can drop in at an ale house for half hour (maybe the one with live music) before you guys get your train back :) Again, an option.

Oh, Diane, noted about the chair...I guess that will help me in light of my new train of thought about carrying my telescope through the evening.

Loving the agenda for Manchester, I will personally stick with Diane's main group all the way, as despite my multi sport persona, football is the one sport which I am not very much into!

I must remember to bring something for Steve's Swap Shop...no it aint gonna be my telescope

I'm looking forward to the telescope part of the day and there is no way I will be missing that. Not sure what time I'm leaving as I'm meeting up with some friends early Saturday and have a busy day so will need a good nights sleep. I'm thinking 09:38 but I'll go with the flow.

If anyone has a light weight rucksack (mine is a bit too small) that I can transfer half into I'm more than happy to carry half your load as I'll only be carrying a chair which isn't heavy.

You're so welcome and this time next week we'll (the first lot of Mancunians) be on the train to Glossop ready for an action packed weekend

A couple have already been to the Lowry etc so may prefer this instead or if you have had enough trapsing around. I am going to see it this Thursday so I write up about this after.

Really enjoyed this show last Thursday with Steve's OH, modern day adaptation but still brilliant never the less and so intimate. Word of advice don't wear a dress if you are on the back row (only 2 rows) on the first or second tier as very difficult to get on and off the seat but very comfy seats once you get on.

MrGlass what time do you want us to meet you in Glossop and where? I know that you said we are doing 2 walks so happy to do as much walking as you like plus need to fill my rucksack to save your back. Getting excited now as 5 days to go
