Booked my ticket this morning for the Vue Extreme screen at Vue Westfield on Friday. A chance to see it on a screen that will do it justice rather than the hideous Empire 2. Can't wait to see it a second time.

went to see this tonight, was an excellent movie i thought, but another movie i found confusing, but not as confusing as shutter island, how do i train myself to not get confused by these movies that make you think? do i need to watch loads more movies like them 2 or read books or what? i hate getting confused when watching a movie, but apart from that i thought it was an excellent movie

at stratford me and my partner sat in row c in seats 12 and 13 i think, had some nice people to the left of us, but everyone in the cinema was squashed together like sardines in a tin and unless you was under 6 foot, leg room was a nightmare, my poor legs, and my partners legs too

that is my review of the movie and the cinema

Saw this in Leeds/Bradford last night and have to agree with everyone else this was a film that you had to give your full attention to - so easy to lose the plot - no day dreaming for me at this one!!

Very interesting concept and as this thread shows lots of different thoughts/takes on what was going on.

Lots of good actors too. Certainly a film to talk about.

Cinema very busy despite it being a foul night.

7.5/10 from me

I must admit i was confused and happy i managed to get tickets for this (A film this popular and anticipated being screened for free, and tickets were still available when i went for them. Impossible). But i went to stratford, and like everyone here i was pissed off with the incompetance and delay.

I arrived at 4:45pm (undershot the train trip by miles), so i was able to get my ticket processed quickly before i went to eat, then i walked up at about 5:50 and got let it at 6:20 and the allocated seating became a huge pain (i thought it would make it easier but clearly i was wrong). It didnt help that i was in G16 (to the very far end middle of the screen). I thought the free screening was going to be a shambles from all of this.

That being said. I loved the movie. I thought it was complex but easy to follow at the same time, although the start did throw me off since the choppy editing didn't help the exposition of what was a dream and what was real life, and starting with the end and cutting to the beginning was another thing that threw me as it was a clean cut with no explanation. But by the end of the movie that was cleared up.

I saw alot of people complain that the "dream within a dream within a dream within a dream" format in the middle was hard to follow, but i understood it fine and followed what was happening in each level perfectly.

Definitely one of the best movies ive seen. Original (not an adaption, sequel or prequel or whatever), intelligent, brilliant character development, wonderful storytelling, great humour at necessary intervals and masterful suspense. 9/10 (Lost one point from the editing at the beginning, and the accents from some of the characters being hard to understand
Preferred cinemas (in order of choice): Hatfield, Enfield, Lee Valley, Watford, Leicester Square/Central London, Greenwhich or anywhere within the catchment area of those.

Gutted, had really been looking forward to this, but was denied at Clapham this eve. Another member gave me their tickets for the screening as I missed out, and for the first time ever I got ID'd! Typically this was just as I told my friend, don't worry they never ID!

Same problem with the queues, got there quite early and a couple of people on the desk but just seemed very slow. A guy finally came out to try round up all the people for inception as it was time for it to start and demanded I show him ID as apparently they're cracking down and 'the tickets had been allocated really quickly' which they thought was odd. I thought it would be odd if they weren't! Oh well. Hoping they'll do a few more screenings, tho may be worth just p*ying to see this one on a huge screen.

Anyone else have the same problem? I suspect that the ticket people didn't ask for ID as there were too many people to deal with, just this guy at the end.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that- they asked for ID at Stratford too. Further dragging out the process.
102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

i thought the ideas behind the film were intriguing. and i kinda liked that they never went into the gobbldy gook about how they invade the dreams.

some of the lines were terrible tho - both badly written and badly executed. a couple of times my friend and i started giggling and cringing. but there are lots of guns and explosions even when i was shrugging and going 'oh no', the teenage boys next to us were very keen on all of it and their faces were quite lit up with joy (i was bored a few times and started to look around at the audience).

most memorable bit reminded me of thunderbirds where the image of a bad event - like hanging off a cliff or something blowing up - is constantly repeated to amp up the tension. then i kept hearing the thunderbirds music so the high tension moments were then lost on me.

my friend thought it could have been a lot shorter with a lot less guns and explosions. but it wouldn't have been a summer blockbuster then would it! 6.5 from me.

I sadly suffered the problems at stratford too. I can't believe they started the movie so late. Seriously they didn't get it organized. When I was waiting outside the screen just before 6.30pm, there were so few people there and I don't think it was just down to lack of staff and allocating tickets, some people I spoke to already had seats assigned prior to coming. If people leave it until the last minute, this can happen. Yes they should have had more staff, but people do leave it to the last minute too.

Frustrating the wait, they should have just started regardless.

The movie I felt was good, a little confusing at times admittedly, but after all the long waiting, it was nice to see it

they asked me for ID at stratford also and it was a ticket someone give me, i just said i emailed this cinema and asked if i would need ID and they said i would not need it, and after about another 10 seconds of talking she finally gives me tickets, so some people may want to try that at future screenings, well at stratford i guess

I ended up going to the Stratford one, wasn't planning on it, but it had been stuck in my mind all night. Again the film is excellent, but two different cinema cock-ups in two nights? Maybe there's bad juju on this film...
