I always thought it would be you introducing us too!ejwrank wrote: Oh lucky you funthing! I always hoped I would have the pleasure of introducing them? Hope they
both behaved themselves! Glad to see so many FMUKers had such a great time.
David and I spent the evening listening to Mark Kermode give a really great talk (a good bit of ranting too)
about films, filmgoers, Jason Isaacs (hello to him!) and how we should all complain about the lack of
projectionists and poor cinema experiences-- especially at multiplexes (this does ring a few bells like an out of focus Fright Night at WIQ and the lights coming on in Islington Vue before the end of A Lonely Place to Die and that's just my experience in the past 2 weeks.) Anyway it was a really good show and we got to see the stunning Brixton Ritzy for the first time. Now my question-- do they show film previews in the gorgeous screen 1 at The Ritzy or one of the smaller ones?

Me too, I always thought it would be pxc or ejwrank introducing us.a_person wrote:I always thought it would be you introducing us too!ejwrank wrote: Oh lucky you funthing! I always hoped I would have the pleasure of introducing them? Hope they

Yes, that is why I was bummed out, could've gone with pxc on Tuesday - woudl've been fun.a_person wrote:If you ever want to see stars, meet famous people etc - take PXC with you. Don't know how she does it but she ALWAYS manages to get awesome pictures, conversations etc with them!canadian_turtle wrote: Went to the stagedoor afterwards (still bummed I didn't go on Tuesday!) and saw the girl that was Sherrie on Tuesday (the understudy) and part of the ensemble today. She signed my programme, asking for my name and everything, and said no one else would come out because they had another show. I checked my watch and it was 8.10pm at this time and the next show would be at 8.30! So yes, very tight. I would still love to see the actors though Oliver <3) so maybe I'll have a look after a movie screening or so in the next few weeks.
Maybe they're that couple that try to shag their way through all the London theatres?a_person wrote:Hahahahaha, that was sooooo funny! You really proved to be a grandmother at that precise moment! I actually thought you were going to punch them although I agree if they were in the need for a f**k they really were in the wrong place!Sunny Saver wrote: so I guess it wasn't you who kept snogging all through the first half in front of us. At first, the female looked like PXC... but I saw the husband and it wasn't. The couple also arrived late and as soon as they sat down they started kissing and it was at that precise moment that the narrator said 'we need a romantic story' or words to that effect, so I thought they were part of the play at first.
Ahhhhh grandma, you are getting soppy in your old age! As it's your birthday, I am obliged to be nice to you (one day only so you better make the most of it!) so here's a song dedicated to you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZh7nRw6gl8 and one to add to our upcoming musical 'Grandma and The Hood.'Sunny Saver wrote: Me too, I always thought it would be pxc or ejwrank introducing us.
Anyway, I will always remember the moment that a_person and I met... It was on the 9th day of the 9th month of my 99th year. We could write our own musical based on it... and this song would play:

I knew that funthing was meeting a_person for lunch, but I wasn't expecting her to be at the show, so it was a lovely surprise and I'd actually changed my birth year from 1011 to 1911 before I left the house, just for her (easier for the youngster to calculate my age)!
Edit: My mother wondered who a_hoodie was, as she'd never seen her at the screenings before and she said the two of us were chatting away and getting on like a house on fire.
