This indeed was more enjoyable than expected, “I love my refrigerator” and “the occasional blowjob” really made me laugh, some clips moved me to tears, and I could have done without seeing a cow slaughtered. But overall a fascinating glimpse into other people’s everyday lives and a good reminder of how f**ked up some things are on this planet, when the minority drive Lamborghinis while millions live in poverty. Makes you appreciate the roof over your head and other little luxuries others don’t have.

Well said o/ I only don't agree with "F" word :nono: I don't use this kind of language ;) As it was mentioned before - well above expectations and the film was worth getting up early :snooze: . My main upset was also the cow... I didn't have my child with me today and mainly because of the cow I was glad my child swapped this film for a morning with the friend. The film is brilliant and educational, and worth watching for older children, just some sceenes may quite upset them.... and only because of these couple sceenes I would probably say I do not recommend it for under 12's....

We enjoyed this. It was different but in a good way. It was very insightful and thoughtprovoking and the choice of music was excellent.
I think that's the only film I've ever been to (especially a free screening) where 90% of those there stayed to watch the very end of the credits and that, I think, speaks volumes to teh quality of what was shown.
I loved the Korean cyclist - he deserves his own video diary documentary.
My only gripe - too many Americans.

I thought this was because Americans especially like to put their lives out there. There were no Scots, Irish or Welsh either ;)

We liked this too. It was an excellent mix and skilfully edited so it flowed well. Husband was surprised there were no Chinese featured. I hadn't noticed too many Americans (maybe because I am one) and the only British mentioned were the man and son who were eating the most awful looking burgers. The other British reference was the pint of milk delivered on the doorstep. We still have milk delivered and my American friends and family find that absolutely charming.

We were late getting there this morning so almost turned back but glad we made it as the film was so fine.

Jill - what did I miss? I was aware that no-one was leaving during the credits with the snail...but my patience gave in and I left. I felt it was already self-contained and didn't think there'd be out-takes or deleted scenes to come. I did however feel that everyone else knew something I didn't. (I hate that!) lol.

No real spoiler, nothing really happened. There was just an odd feeling of peace and serenity. It was truly odd.

Yes, Korean cyclist, Edinburgh please. I'm sure you'e get a spot at the Festivals to talk about your trip.

Yes - Ioved that feeling. Tranquil. The film certainly had that effect. That and a sense of completeness.
