Fluff and motherf***ing nonsense! But Good fluff and nonsense. Rather too many references to sucking dick for my liking....and who shrank Jonah?
Also a scary body count it seems....none the less, enjoyable in a teenage kinda way.
I'll give it 6/10.
Nice to see biggins too.

Re: 21 Jump Street
Brought out the child again in me. Memories of the 80s TV series and a certain classic cameo not to be missed!
It was hilarious in a very juvenile and purile way - loved it!!
9/10 from me.

Just the sort of frivolous fun I needed. The Crawley screening wasn't that well-attended but there was still a good atmosphere and plenty of laughter.

Re: 21 Jump Street
Just back from West India Quay. Actually put us in a reasonable screen for a change with good leg room but the usual waiting in the bar before heading the the screening.
I had no real expectations for this film and just wanted to be entertained on a Tuesday evening. I did not know much about this film and all I knew was that it was a cop film starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. Not a great fan of Channing Tatum and his acting which did not bode well.
I have to say I was really pleasantly surprised by this Cop Buddy Bromance Film. The premise for the film was for two young raw recruits to go undercover back in High School. Where one would be a jock and the other a nerd. Where at high school Jonah Hill was the Nerd and Channing Tatum was the jock but this time round the roles would be reversed in a mix up when going undercover. So a second time to relive their high school lives and to break a drug ring.
The jokes kept coming though not laugh out loud and the pacing was just right with not if any dull moments. A decent surprise cameo was in the film and a very gross out finale. Ice Cube was good as the hard ass captain. Plenty of explosions and quite a high body count. Some really cliched parts and also some cheesey lines but it all works.
It was really quite entertaining and a good cop/buddy film. I never knew it was a TV show in the late 80s early 90s and one of the original cast from this makes a cameo.
I still have a smile on my face after seeing this.
8.5/10

Re: 21 Jump Street
Vue Islington was pretty full and due to a fiasco on the Northern Line (we managed one stop before the line was suspended - we just had one more stop to go but had to go back and around it) we didn't get our favourite seats, but still good ones in the second row from the back. Saw Celini, anakin (finally!) and cinefila1. Got a text from a_person to keep her a seat but she never turned up and I guess she went to WIQ!
I was amazed - we had an usher who counted empty seats and showed the last people in where they were. We also had an efficient security guy who sat on "my" seat in the last row and swooped every time someone whipped their phone out. Very good.
This was seriously very very funny. Crude sometimes, yes, but a blast nevertheless. So the cool but dumb guy gets to hang out with the nerds and the unpopular guy gets to be popular for a change.
I couldn't believe it when
Johnny Depp whipped his disguise off at the end - I whooped!
Re: 21 Jump Street
Leeds was full to capacity.
I liked the unusual car chase, they tried showing a bit of realism while taking the mickey out of other action movie chases. Best joke of the chase was the chicken truck.
