SUPERFANS INVITED TO GET LOST IN LOST
The UK’s first-ever public TV marathon crash lands in London

Avid followers of smash-hit TV series LOST are invited to test their dedication to the show by enduring the ultimate fan challenge, as they attempt to watch all 121 episodes back-to-back in the UK’s first ever public TV marathon.

The Lost Marathon will be held at Leicester Square’s Prince Charles Cinema from Monday 13th September – Thursday 16th September 2010 to celebrate the release of Lost The Final Season, available on Blu-ray and DVD on Monday 13th September.

From the heart-pounding opening episode to the suspense-filled finale, enthusiasts will face over 80 hours of continuous viewing in a bid to be crowned the last fan standing. Hoards of dedicated followers are expected to descend upon Leicester Square, but only the first 280 people through the doors of the cinema will be eligible for what will be the first event of its kind in the UK.

Fans are encouraged to take part dressed as their favourite characters from the show, armed with their very own survival packs including sleeping bags, pillows and packed lunches! A Lost goody bag packed full of merchandise will be awarded to each participant.

The Lost Marathon will commence at 10am on Monday 13th September 2010 and will continue constantly over 24-hour periods. If successfully completed, the final episode will air on the afternoon of Thursday 16th September 2010.

Gregory Lynn, Director of The Prince Charles Cinema said: “We’re thrilled to host such an exciting event and look forward to keeping our cinema running all day and all night for as long as it takes!”

Paramedics will be on standby and regulated breaks will be permitted as fans attempt to complete the unprecedented mass participation event.

The Prince Charles Cinema is located at 7 Leicester Place, London WC2.

To pre-register attendance fans can email lostmarathon@taylorherring.com

They did that in Germany years and years ago for a very popular TV soap called Lindenstrasse (comparable to Eastenders or Coronation Street). They showed the first 100 episodes or something like that back to back, it took days. It was hugely popular. The series has now been running since 1985 so showing 650 hours of footage would probably be insane, LOL.

Lost Marathon? What's that? Where? When? I might join ya, lol. I've done several movie marathons in the past, Star Wars (all 6 films in one day at the Empire), Star Trek (7 films in one day at the Empire) and several all-nighters with different themes at the Scala (now sadly shut down many moons ago).

Edit: What the heck is wrong with me, I completely missed the last page. 4 days in a row?!! That's just nuts. And I thought I was a special watching 13 hours of Star Wars, I feel so small now...! Love Lost, but dont wanna damage my health over it so I pass, lol.

Beate, you're mega awesome for doing that 100 episode soap marathon!

Why not? Just pretend to be there for the whole of the thing and then say you got diarrhoea and you need to go. Surely, they can't hold you back.

It's not like they can hold you hostage. The Lost people might have been stranded on an island, you shouldn't be stranded in a cinema, LOL.
