oh damn, I really want to see this now! and I haven't even read any (spoiler-free or not) reviews!

what amazes me is that I haven't read a single bad tweet about it... everybody in my timelime seems to agree, I have never witnessed anything like that!

Ah, thanks! I don't mind gore, it's the jumpy moments that generally scare me. And I do love Whedon (and his humour) so will make an effort to see it now. o/

Yeah, it's a bit jumpy and definitely not torture porn.
102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

Believe it or not, the trailer spoils nothing. I too thought i had ruined it for myself with the trailer but there is so much more to the movie and so much utter genius to it. And the context to alot of the scenes makes the scenes in the trailer work better than they did before

So glad i'm not in the minority for thinking this film is fantastic (really hope Avengers tops this though. Just the inner geek in me)

Why should you not watch the trailer anyway? It's out there for a purpose, to entice you to see the movie. If the makers of this film don't want you to know about spoilers, I am sure they won't put them all in the trailer.

Oh i know, i just read Valda's: "Argh i succumbed" to mean: "Oh god i gave in and ruined some of the movie that i wanted to keep a surprise". I just wanted to be reassuring. It aint no crime.

But its worth saying that 90% of the time movie makers have no control over what goes in trailers. Trailers are cut by totally different companies and are finaled by the studio, so it could've been possible that spoilers ran amok in the trailer
