Good showing by Tarantino yet again. Very stylish, great soundtrack and good casting. My main problem with the film was incessantly use of the n-word... I totally get how it was set a while back, when there was a lot less stigma attached to the word, but I thought it was so over-used AND my other issue was the length. I thought it could have done with been shortened by half an hour. Overall though, a stylish, slick film with plenty of action - solid 7/10.

Went to see Django with my Mum the other night and we both thoroughly enjoyed it! We would definitely go and see it again. I agree with other members that Christopher Waltz is brilliant. A big part of the jigsaw that is incomplete without him. Impressed to see Jamie Fox 's shooting and riding skills with his own horse and bareback stunts too! Well doneQuentin! :)

Apart from being a decent trip of a movie, I found it refreshing to watch a western that accurately reflected both the race-hate and sympathies of the times (nearly every conventional western entirely removes 'worse than nazi' american history and equally ignores the selfless work of abolishers, though some of the recent ones reflect the plight of Native Americans quite well).

Of course this ones a 'Southern' so theres not much room for Red Americans in it, but its suprising that few westerns have been set in the Deep South. Its a perfect setting for Man With No Name to ride into and blow evil to kingdom come.

The movie was a tad long but thats nitpicking, am now egging for a sequel (whatever egging means).
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

I'm usually a Tarantino fan but found this film lacking. Christopher Waltz and Leonardo DiCaprio were stunning in their roles but the kudos should ultimately go to Samuel L Jackson for his scene stealing performances. The film, in my opinion began to lose it's way towards the end - with an over long fight scene and slim story thrad. The running time could have been trimmed without losing any of the impact. The film had pangs of brilliance and was once again fabulous with it's intense monologues and speeches. Overall it was enjoyable but I would be hard pushed to watch it again I think. A solid 8/10 I feel is fair for this one.

I was expecting great things from this and i wasn't disappointed. Killer soundtrack, over-the-top violence, and some really good performances (especially from Waltz, DiCaprio and Jackson). I agree that the use of the n-word was a bit excessive, but it detract from the entertainment levels, which were so i that i got used to that and the long running time.

8/10

Just pa*d to see this. Huge tarantino fan, but underwhelmed by this. Just ok & my least fave of QT's. But that said, still better than 95% of movies released.

My QT list in descending order is now:

1 jackie brown (by a long way my fave)
2 death proof
3 reservoir dogs
4 pulp fiction
5 kill bill 1
6 kill bill 2
7 inglourious basterds
8 django unchained

This was a ton of fun. It had all the elements of a QT film and it was a joy to watch. Great script, excellent performances (especially Waltz), jaunty soundtrack and intense violence interspersed with witty dialogue. A tad too long but that doesn't hinder the film too much. I think this may well end up being one of my top films of 2013. 9/10.

Fun and entertaining. As been said before it is a little overlong. The sound track as usual is great.
