I braved the first two and vowed to never watch another. It's soooo bad.
Times like these I don't envy the critics.

the first was ok, though i got the impression Bella was 14 or 15, not at high school. Thats how she came across.

The sequels I have seen range from diabolical to middling. I guess the franchise suffers for being as dead cert at the box office, so why bother putting in the effort to make it any good when the money is guaranteed (thinking Pirates of the Caribbean sequels)

I didn't like the first one, but compared to the rest, it was Citizen freakin' Kane.
At the time I thought that was greatly due to Catherine Hardwicke, who had already directed the pretty impressive Heath Ledger/Emile Hirsch skateboarding flick Lords of Dogtown but then post-Twilight she went and made Red Riding Hood, which was trash of the worst order.

how much better they would be if the other Kat had done them (Bigelow). Fly-on-the-wall cameras, slow mo vampires, surreal extreme close-ups and hunkier actors with bulging abs.

Would have been a treat.

Bigelow actually did make a Vampire flick during her early days called Near Dark and it was surprisingly gritty and enjoyable...well, back in the day anyway.

I honestly never thought in a million years that you two would be dominating this thread!!! I admit Twilight has no great appeal to me and it appears to be more for the girls but I just thought I should watch them and try appreciate its popularity.

So...I cant believe no one from FMUK, went to the q&a screening 8O As my smiley clearly exhibits, I am rather shocked!

We're dominating this thread with hate...stupidly too, because the women are all silently messaging each other & plotting our respective deaths.

It was nice knowing you, Raj. We brought this shit on ourselves.
