Just back from seeing this and thought it was a great film.

Great interaction between the two leads.

But ...
... the ending just felt wrong. It felt as though it was tacked on as an afterthought to appease the producers,m who didn't want an overly dark ending.

I felt that a more realistic ending would have been the gangsters walking away from the dead leads and no other police turning up to save the day.
Saw this at WIQ with some work colleagues. Good film and good performances from the lead characters. 8/10.

Very entertaining, though a little sentimental. And I'd never seen reserved seats at a suburban preview before! I remarked on this to the Cineworld staff member who was placing the cards on the seats and he said that some staff from Head Office were expected. As he'd set aside 4 consecutive seats nearest the aisle, people kept going to sit there, then realising they shouldn't. And of course the expected guests never did turn up (probably stuck in traffic, which was even worse than usual), so in the end ordinary audience members did sit in those seats.

Very full screening at WIQ.

I hated this at the beginning. The constant shaky camera, the relentless swearing of the worst order and the documentary style did not leave me in much hope. A couple left the screening quite early. We stuck it out and were rewarded as it got better once you got to know the two characters and learned what they had to deal with day in and day out. The women felt a bit left out in this film - Anna Kendrick did not get much to do and Ugly Betty's America Ferrera was reduced to swearing like a sailor. The camaraderie between the two leads felt believable though, gave the film authenticity and made the ending very sad. It was kind of predictable though that something would happen.

Great film for a 100th film! :) Seemed very believable and realistic, gave a stark reality to what most people in the Suth over there see and have to put up with everyday, have a great respect for what they do.

I thought this film was excellent!! Quite violent, loads of swearing, but comical too. It was strange seeing 'Ugly Betty', normal!!
