Went to the preview at Odeon Wimbledon today (only 50% full). Overall the film was entertaining, but a bit lacklustre. It would've been better if it had been a bit darker. 3 stars.

Saw this in Braehead this morning. Only a third full. Did see ploghit and SocialFlutterby.
Like Lincoln, this is really only a view of a small part of Hitchcock's life (around the time Psycho was made.) Its not a biopic. I have to say that O enjoyed the film more than I thought and was impressed with both main actors. Helen Mirren's figure is fab! All the curves in the right place!
I don't know how true the story was but his wife certainly presented a very strong figure in his life and, according to the film, she had been his boss and he did still rely on her for help.
The meeting of the licensing board was interesting when you consider what's shown on screens today.
Certainly not in Oscar category but entertaining none the less.
Marks 7/10

No one asked for any 'additional' papers at Cardiff this morning.
Enjoyed the film, the acting was 'fine', thought Helen Mirinwas good as Alma, OMG what a figure, am now inspired to do something about mine ;) Anthony Hopkins was ok as Hitch. While not a full biopic about Hitcock this was quite an eye opener for me. Alma seems to have been his rock even though he couldn't see it at times. Based around the film pyscho, it was interesting to see how the film came to be. 7/10

Saw this at a full Surrey Quays this morning. No newspaper was requested. I enjoyed the film, but it was nothing really marvellous.

Watched this at a rather empty Braehead today, i suspect a lot of people opted for the later Vue screening's , the film itself was for me very interesting, as a Hitchcock fan it was good to see a little bit about how the man worked , his relationship with his wife was a very powerful one, a nice little insight, thought Helen Mirren played an outstanding part in the movie and Hopkins played his part very well too, the film was as much about the relationship with his wife as it was about the making of Psycho, the film is probably more suitedd to Hitchcock fans than a general audience, nice to see MG sad to have missed ploghit though maybe next time we can say Hiya x a solid 8/10 from me

Saw this at Odeon, Silverlink this morning. Not something we would have ordinarily chosen to watch but really enjoyed it. Thought it was a good, easy to watch film :)

Enjoyable, if nothing special. I think I slightly preferred the Toby Jones' take on Hitch in "The Girl" which was shown over Xmas. Actually it's probably worth watching Hitchcock and The Girl back-to-back and they look at Psycho and his follow-up The Birds respectively.
