Really enjoyed this. Good leads although I thought Dave Franco was a wee bit wooden in places. Woody Harleson was excellent.
Good use of locations and some amazing sets and set pieces.
Plenty plot holes to sieve rather a lot through but enjoyable.

8/10 from us.

Entertaining and stylish but the ending is quite a letdown. I loved the magicians (especially Eisenberg) and wish we had more scenes with them rather than lots of repetitive scenes with Ruffalo. 7.5/10.

Really poor, quite a clever idea that's so badly executed. 2/5 as the leads all try to pull film in right direction.
Upcoming films want to see;
Top Gun Maverick
MI 7 & 8
The Many Saints of Newark
Ghostbusters : Afterlife

Best films seen recently;
Tenet
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
In The Heights
A Quiet Place 2

If I were to use just one word to describe it it would have to be "entertaining". Fun plot, enjoyable cast, nice use of music and just all around pleasure to watch. It's not the most amazing movie out there, it's not one that will stay with you for years, but it's perfect to sit down in an air conditioned cinema on a hot afternoon and let go of serious stuff that's on your mind so that you can dive into some movie magic.

If I would use one word to describe this film it would be "cool". The tricks looked slick, the music was awesome, heck even Jesse Eisenberg looked quite alright (what the hell happened there??). Sure, the ending was predictable but that did not take away my enjoyment of the overall film. I've really missed seeing a good heist film, and I'd love to see more like these pop up in cinema again opposed to the slew of generic sci-fi and less than impressive superhero flicks we've had lately.

Can only agree with Phase1. An enjoyable way to chill on a hot day. Spent 10 minutes wndering if they would show the film - only me, sitting in a cool dark room but 4 others joined me and a cosy afternoon was enjoyed by us all.

What a mess. Dire.

If you are going to make a film involving stage magic, you had better make sure that the majority of "magic" on display is not achieved by camera trickery...oops & fail.

utter bullshit on the lowest rung of the ladder

My opinion not enhanced by the pair of f*!kers sat behind me who thought it was just hunky dory to continually tap on the back of my seat

Used one the Sky Cineworld voucher codes that I managed to grab yesterday to get a ticket for this earlier today and have to say that I really enjoyed it.

Although it wasn't anywhere near as good as something like 'The Prestige' (few film are ;) ) it was still very, very entertaining and I liked the twist even though I doubt there were any definitive clues leading up to it (in that sense, it reminded me of the twist in 'Red Lights' which I also liked).

Overall a very decent popcorn flick which gets an 8/10 from me o/ ...
