Re: Summer in February
Instead of going on a replacement bus to a second-rate cinema to see a second-rate film I had a nice lie-in this morning. Just got up.

Re: Summer in February
A bit slow in parts but quite enjoyable for a Sunday morning. Lovely sea and shore scenery. 5/10

Re: Summer in February
Beautiful film, pity it had to be so tragically sad, but then it was set in 1913.
Re: Summer in February
This was utterly dire. The character played by Dominic Cooper was seen by all the other characters as enigmatic & charismatic. However, to any watching, he was a misogynistic bully and a crashing bore.
I worry about the director of this bilge.
Astonishingly, the screening was packed & no one walked out. That said, the audience were of "a certain age" & probably glad of a day out. Bless.
Never have lingering shots of full frontal female nudity been quite so dull.
1/10. Avoid.

Re: Summer in February
Agree that this is Sunday evening BBC2 fare. Having said that it is rather beautiful in the scenery etc. I found little to complain about as far as it being boring - it was meant to be true after all. I remained awake right through which aint bad for me on a Sunday morning. Wouldn't p*y to see it, unlikely to watch it if on telly, but it was fine for Sunday morning free cinema.
I did have to laugh at the horse soup reference. I'm sure that sequence was meant to shock, but with recent events it just didn't.
Haha - plenty of bare ladies. I'm guessing the females on here are disappointed that no-one saw Dominic walk out of the sea. You did catch sight of his bare bum I suppose. I averted my eyes for that bit.
Great to see Biggins and marjareen and marjareen's mum. I loved the sweeties!

Re: Summer in February
I too really enjoyed this film. Such a sad true love story and ended up with a tear in my eye. 8/10wavell wrote:Beautiful film, pity it had to be so tragically sad, but then it was set in 1913.
