At least your screening has started! We're still waiting in Liverpool Cineworld! I had reminders today to get here early and I've had to go to crazy lengths to get here for 6pm from work anyway... They said it would be delayed by 20 mins.... It's 6:20pm and it's still not on! Gonna be a late one tonight. So badly organised!

The Long Ranger

Never has The William Tell Overture sounded so good as the relief that this travesty was soon to end. It was deader than Tonto's crow appeared to be.
This should have been called Pirates of The Wild West with Cap'n Jack Sparrow having had a fight with some drunken face painters at a kids party.
It would have been reasonable without the needless comedy element. What on earth possessed them to try to make this funny?
Definitely the highlight was the final 20 minutes which almost made up for the nonsense that was the prior 2 hours.

Wasted oppertunity here I'm afraid. Should have been more like True Grit.

I can only muster a 4/10.

This was awful. Trocadero made it even worse as they leave on the brightest overhead spotlights (bl--dy health and safety, they now claim) so I was in full light throughout the film. But what a shame that they have made such a mess of The Lone Ranger.

Giving this a generous 1/10.

Back from a full Glasgow Cineworld. Lots of fmukers about.

Well personally I liked it. And how do I know? Time didn't dragged for me. TBH Disney was going to have a hard job trying to make this kinda of child friendly with all the killing going on and especially
when Cavendish ate Dan's heart
. Hence why it isn't like True Grit. Though I won't take anyone younger than 10 to see this. And I think a lot of parents are going to be surprised with this being a Disney screening.

Also we loved the light relief with OH laughing out pretty loudly a few times. 7/10

Preference of cinemas:- 1. Glasgow Renfield Street Cineworld, 2. Glasgow Showcase, 3. Braehead Odeon, 4. Vue Fort, 5 Glasgow Springfield Quay, 5. any other cinema in Glasgow area including Hamilton
Also Falkirk, Dunfermline and Stirling but these are rarely used for free previews.

Lost the plot. Calling all plots - where are you?
I guess the plot as written was at least 5 hours long so they made some radical cuts and got it down to 2.5 hours but lost the plot along the way?!
Yip, not great.
Funny in part, largely laughing at Jonny Depp when he wasn't trying to be funny.
How many billions did they waste on this? Heavens to murgatriod as some might say.
It wasn't bad, it just wasn't great!
Good score though!!!

Shockingly bad imo. I can't imagine who it was aimed at. Far too long, dreadful script and acting. All the constant backwards and forwards telling the story to the kid. Unfunny jokes, and so on and so forth. For me, the only saving grace was the fact that so many Stunt men were used
4/10
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

Being old enough to remember The Lone Ranger on TV and read all the poor reviews I was not sure about sitting through two and half hours but we enjoyed it and had a few good laughs at some of the antics and of course the William Tell overture.
