I went to see Spy last night, the cinema was packed - almost full I think. Really enjoyed the film, sometimes I find comedies a bit too forced but thought the films was great and had some real laugh out loud moments!

Would they want an age rating ID at the door for Spy?

Hi there

I have a ticket for spy tonight but it says I need a page from Heat magazine to validate the ticket. Do you know if they are really hot on this, or if they don't usually bother? I'm worried I am gonna turn up and be refused entry.

I've never had any ask for a page from any magazine/newspaper for a film. Just turn up and do the same as everyone else! Enjoy!
Preferred cinemas: Best: Glasgow Quay, Glasgow Braehead, Glasgow Renfield Street, Glasgow Fort & Paisley
Others I'd go to: Glasgow Showcase Baillieston

Just seen this for the third time and purposely stayed for the post credit scenes and out takes. Word to the wise? Don't bother! There is one tiny mid credit scene then a 20 second post-credit out take scene. Not worth the wait.

Disappointing.

I liked the fact that Melissa McCarthy wasn't playing the fool, although they couldn't help themselves and had her fall over a few times, in fact she's a really, really good spy, Bourne like at times. Unfortunately that meant a lot of the situations weren't that funny, they were just standard spy movie scenes with some bad language and endless ad-libbing stuck on.

With that much riffing there were some funny lines, but I much preferred The Heat and I'm now looking forward to the new Ghostbusters even less than before 6/10

Busy Edinburgh screening tonight. I really enjoyed this apart from the excessive gratuitous swearing. Too much and not necessary. It was very funny though. 7/10
