A couple of the guys at work are going to give their loved ones a Tesco Value Valentine card as a joke. But will have a better card ready to pass over when their other half starts to kick off.

My husband gave me a dozen red roses and a Valentines Card from Tesco (£4.50 not the value one as he had forgotten that the price was on the back).

I had to laugh though as the card was the same one as Gail in Corrie got from her husband Joe before he drowned in the lake!!! We are going away tomorrow for a two day break - probably just as well we are not going to the Lake District!!!!

I got red roses too, biggins. :D
We weren't going to give each other a gift this year - luckily I'd been out and b*ght him a bottle of expensive red wine! Phew!!

Red roses aren't a gift, they are a given on Valentine's Day, LOL. Got them and a card, and he pa*d for the meal, in turn I organised the two screenings today.

Saw Breakfast at Tiffany's earlier, which several cinemas had laid on as Valentine's Day screenings. I swear I have only ever seen this before in black and white and was most surprised when it came in bright technicolour! It was marvellous, her weird bathtub sofa had bright purple and pink cushions, one of her dresses was bright pink... all I ever remember her do is run around in black dresses! The Picturehouse Greenwich screen was almost completely full which surprised me too. I had forgotten how funny the film is! Some stuff really is outdated and a bit too sentimental but all in all a most enjoyable way of spending two hours.

We had amazing surf and turf - b*ght the lobster from SeeWoo Asian (Chinese, Thai, Korean) market in Greenwich and the sirloin steak from Sainsburys. A tad decadent, but damnnnnnnnn it was GOOD!
