I hate these application forms for public sector jobs as they are so restrictive and formulaic. I tried to fill one in once and it took me 3 hours. From then on I applied for private sector only!

I had exactly the same issue with an application form recently and gave up because I didn't want to give incorrect or incomplete info - but that clearly isn't an option for you. Is there anywhere at the end to add additional info? Or an e-mail address where you could send this?
I think I'd be tempted to add up the pro-rata salary and benefits and quote the total as salary. It would still be less than the FTE and you wouldn't be claiming to earn more than you do. You're obviously trying to do the right thing in difficult circumstances and you can't be the only one in this position, which you can explain if necessary.

Thanks, two different opinions I feel I'm in the same boat. I do have abit more time but I promised the recruiter that I'd send it in Friday. Saying that they won't look at it until Monday but I got to work!

Well they are only open Mon-Fri so I have to wait until Mon morning. Now the recruiters gonna be on my back. It's such a friggin annoying form. I had to enter in all my details. And it wouldn't recognise my degree but wouldn't let me write it either. So I emailed them and I said my degrees called this, not this so I need to submit a separate email to inform them of this! Why can't it just be open ended so I can write as I please?

If you have to write them a separate email anyway, tell them all the things you can't explain in the form.

I was thinking the same thing but I know salary is quite abit of an issue for them.... And they may say I should clarify with them before submitting so I guess I will have to do that.
