I went earlier in the day to see Crazy Thunder Road... let's just say it's not a classic! Made by a student with no budget in 1980 and clearly edited in the back of the van with a chainsaw, but I still enjoyed it in a kind of a masochistic way. Very interesting story, well acted, beautifully film, although a little on the slow side for me, definitely a young writer-director to watch out for. 7/10.

I'm watching it now as I Sky plussed it last night. BBC3 or 4 Electric Dreams.
I've seen it before but its brilliant. A family and thier home are stripped of modern technology to live a life of decades past. Starting with the 70's. Each day and night is another year. It brings back so many memories

They even had a teasmade. My Mum had one, but it would wake you up really early as it gathered up steam. 3 day week, decimalisation it was all fun as long as you were still at school. I was just about to leave I seem to remember.

Karate Kid I, II, & III there has been one on each night this week at 4pm. I took my 8 year old son to see the preview of the new one back in the summer and he has been karate mad ever since, even had to enrol him in local classes!!
Original Karate Kid is to me by far the best, but he is loving them all.
