Re: Toy Story 3
Just seen this at a packed haymarket! We arrived early to a queue though still managed to get a good seat. I was annoyed that we had to watch z listers walk the carpet twice when i could have arrived 1 hour later.
Film was great, it was funny and heartwarming especially andy's speech. Loved the spanish bit that was the funniest bit in the film. Overall very good 8/10

Re: Toy Story 3
Just seen this at the Omni, Greenside, Edinburgh. We all arrived at 12.30 to find a long queue had already formed waiting for the doors to open at 12.40. We managed to get good seats although it was half full by the time we got in. Popcorn on each seat - but no drinks - you had to b*y those.
The time watching all the red carpet arrivers getting interviewed was rather boring but the film its self was excellent. Felt some parts might have been a bit scary for young children but had some laughs in it too. No tears at the end - or maybe we didn't see them because of the dark glasses!
Would go and watch this again with the grandchildren. 8 out of 10

Re: Toy Story 3
Firstly huge thanks to Spanner for these tickets
Was surprised to arrive at 12.40 to large queue of people, arrived at the smae time as Biggins so very nice as awlays to see her and have a catch up
Was even more suprised when we got to our seats to find a free box of popcorn for us and everyone else. Really nice touch. film did not start till 1.30 so managed to eat it all before the film started
not really a popcorn person!!
The film was thoroughly enjoyable and amazing in 3D. After having seen some dogs this ar, it was really good to see a good film well organised at the cinema and enjoyed by all.
No tears for me at the end, just happy it was so good and like the others loved Spanish Buzz.
Will give it 9/10 as that is what I gave Up in the Air.

Re: Toy Story 3
I'm not really a Toy Story fan, I've never seen them at the cinema and only once on TV. HOwever the film was good quite funny in places BUT I cannot say it too many times, I hate 3D. The Haymarket was hot, no air con on, so the steam between my glasses and the 3D glasses was worse than normal. I ended up taking them off most of the time. This made the flm better for me, to see the bright colours, rather than dready darkness. 8/10 film 5.10 3D
Re: Toy Story 3
Was at the film premiere in the Empire this afternoon. The queue just to get into the Empire was long but it was nice to be walking on the multicoloured Lego carpet! Was in screen 4, not the main screen. I think they used all the screens in the cinema. Everyone got popcorn, bottled water, sultanas and keyring for a souvenir. This was easily the best of the Toy Story movies - very funny and with a real emotional wallop. The 3D wasn't in your face like How to train your dragon - I'm not even sure why it was necessary. 9/10.

Re: Toy Story 3
Just got back from Haymarket! Literially power walked Race 4 Life from Hyde Park (did it in 1 hour 12mins
) then power walked some more to Marble Arch to get a lift to the cinema (thank god)! My friends were there at 12:40pm and warned us that there was a long queue and might not sit together
luckily when we eventually all got there (12 of us!) we sat on the right side, 5 rows from the front (wasn't too close to the screen, just okay). I loved the sketch at beginning, Day & Night (?). I never really enjoyed the previous Toy Storys (I'm a Finding Nemo and Monster Inc person). I think I did get teary (didn't cry though) in the
holding hands
part and the 'end'. Some parts did make me laugh, 'spanish' part especially but just not as funny as other Pixar Disney films! I didn't get why it was in 3D though, however I thought the glasses were better than usual ones (did everyone else keep theirs?
! I didn't think it was as packed as I expected, yet I couldn't get more tickets for others! Why doesn't people just cancel their tickets if they know they ain't going!?! Luckily there was free popcorn (didn't eat breakfast or lunch!) and my BF had sneaked us some drinks
I would give it a 7/10 (most of my friend gave this kinda score).
P.S. forgot to add that I loved Ken's character and I couldn't believe Totoro (Bonnie's grey cuddly toy that didn't say anything) was in Toy Story 3 as My Neighbour Totoro is my favorite childhood cartoon film!

Toy story 3 was great, i really enjoyed it, not sure if it made any difference it being in 3D. It was quite dark and sinister in parts which added to the story and made it suitable for kids and adults. Quite heartfelt and funny. Loved Spanish buzz light year and Ken was absolutely hilarious! 7/10
