I expected this to be a disappointing film given the odd trailer and promo reel presented in August, and even with Fox's last two blockbusters being so damn good, it felt like they were half trying to bury this in the November months.
The negative reviews eeking out the past days didn't help that feeling one bit, so thankfully when I was sitting in the cinema, I was completely immersed in the admittedly flaky premise completely. A sci-fi that has all the running of The Adjustment Bureau, all the charm of Justin Timberlake and all the 'power to the people' of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
I was a little surprised at how well the action scenes looked in comparison to the generic shaky-cam blurry fests most film have, until the credits showed Roger Deakins was behind the camera.

A surprisingly entertaining piece of sci-fi, soft sci-fi done very well, with engaging characters, an interesting story and great sequences.
Highly recommended.

Enjoyable sci-fi nonsense, I like the basic idea behind it, and what it has to say about distribution of wealth and using your time wisely, but the plot is diabolical and dialogue at times pretty poor. Seyfried really does have just one facial expression, I didn't mind Mr Trousersnake, and Murphy was indeed very good as the timekeeper. Olivia Wilde and Johnny Galecki (Big Bang Theory) sadly got very little time in the film. Nice to see they still appreciate classic cars in the future, loved those police cars (spruced up old Dodge Challengers if I'm not mistaken). Ultimately a forgettable thriller but still very watchable... 7/10

It would be nice if they announced smaller prizes for the top 10, that would be the best twist! Or we could steal some time from people! hehe or the people with days less than say 10 can offer to those who are hovering in the top 20 to give them a push - that would be fun!
