Not sure if you have one near you but we have a seasonal shop (i.e. Christmas at mo but will change to garden furniture etc in the spring). Ours is pretty good and not too pricey!

Go for the boas as they look totally awesome and are always a talking point - mine are black as the tree is all black and silver. In addition, I have large silk flower stems as additional decorations throughout the tree and giant black and silver feathers coming out of the top instead of the normal star or fairy.

Thanks for the idea Destresserai, but no seasonal shops near me that I have seen. I used to know a great one in Bristol... not much use though!

However with a little help from my sister we now have tinsel and the tree is really coming together. Got some gingerbread biscuit things to hang on the tree (more a European thing I think) and was given a chocolate bauble and will be adding some sweets and maybe even some crackers on Saturday morning. Now just need some presents for underneath...! I still can't get over how big the tree is!!

I think I am going to start a new business called "Rent a Freezer" lol - cos there aint no more room in my freezer! :noo:
Wish I could borrow spare space for the next couple of weeks as I don't need it at any other time during the year. Mind you I have won three bags of McCains oven chips and we still have one and a half in the freezer which is taking up an awful lot of room. No electricity in our garage so we can't have a small freezer in there and my family are all either too far away or don't have room in theirs either!!

What do you all do at this time of the year? Or do you leave it all until the last minute so you just don't need freezer space.

I'm running short of cupboard space. Haven't done any shopping yet, mostly due to lack of time. Our freezer seems to be full of ice, as in the kind for drinks, which was left over from a party in September. And meat that I don't eat and OH doesn't ever seem to eat either. We have the smallest freezer in the world (well, not that small) with a bunch of shelves rather than the trays (I presume they have been removed by previous tenants or were broken) so it's all a balancing act which means we can't fit that much in either.

Perhaps it's chips for dinner tonight? What time shall I come round ;)
