sorry to hear of your bad experience at the Bank A-Person. What gets me is that there always seem to be bodies floating abou etc but never on the desks!!!

My point exactly!!!!! What the hell were they doing????? I worked front line too and if my manager ever found me looking pretty, I'd face disciplinary!

I was at work and saw the A team tickets and was about to try and nab some for folks when the damn computer engineer arrived and I heard him outside my office saying he was just going to disconnect my pc

Had to switch off instantly cos not supposed to use my computer at work for personal use why not??????????

Came home only to find my ticket request must have gone through just as i disconnected....... so happy texted my friend so she managed to get tickets too so all sorted

Cant take this amount of strain as thought for a while I would have to p*y

Well even if you were connected you would have been lucky if the site loaded. I posted the code and then couldn't get back in until the tickets all sold out!!!!!! LOL

It's a two minute walk to the bank and they are the only ones who tend to have CSA who actually smile and are polite. Lloyds I can't say much about. Barclays I am yet to try to p*y a bill.

I want to open an account with Citi but I'm worried should the market conditions get worse the money will disappear.

yup know what you mean, think thats why there is a huge increase in the sale of safes which are part of your mattress. they are fire resistant and sales have gone through the roof!! Not literally tho

I want to open an account with Citi but I'm worried should the market conditions get worse the money will disappear.

I recommend the Co-op. They do 'phone and internet banking (so if you don't want the card reader hassle, and ever more banks are introducing these, you just ring up instead) and their ethical policy is one of the best. They have few branches (though some in London) but as you can do so much by other means, you don't need those. They score highly for customer satisfaction and usually offer an incentive (currently £100, I think?) for transferring your main account to them. They also p*y you if they make a mistake, though obviously they have to agree that they have done so.

A_person: why don't you complain to NatWest, just copy what you wrote here and finetune it a bit, so not too much work. Write in the letter that you want £100 compensation. They might not offer that, but they might come down to £50! I bank with another bank and complained about something, can't remember what, quite banal, and asked for £150 compensation and they gave me something, not that much, but better than a poke in the eye.

PS sorry to hear about your bank frustrations. They are one of the worse, as it's YOUR money!!!

Yes, I was there at the Cameo last night - I had never seen this film. My friend had seen it before but she still was crying at the end. It was a sad ending but didn't reduce me to tears. Also I found it quite slow in parts. At the end of the film all that could be heard was "sniff, sniff" as the girls around us were all crying then someone near the front gave their nose a very loud noisy blow which made everyone laugh!

The exam resits are on just now so no access to a computer when I am invigilating at these - so missed the code for the A team!! So hopefully there will be another code out for this.

Going back to the Cameo tonight with the tickets I won to see Bluebeard - unsure about this one.

I think I have a way too sensible son! He will be 16 in October and has already started to investigate which ISA's are on the market in readiness!

If it was me at that age, I would be out spending my savings on something totally worthless!
