Yes, it was lovely, weather was good, went to a few animal parks and castles around Sandwich and Dover. Didn't go to any cinemas. Our B&B had breakfast in the room which was kind of weird but also meant we could have a lie in every morning. There were loads of wild rabbits in the fields hopping around from dusk to dawn. It's funny though how much more expensive rural pubs seem to be - I am sure I never spend that much money on a good pub meal in London! On the last day we found a really nice and inexpensive one called The Frog and Orange - probably the only one named like that in the country, and they don't know either where the name comes from.

It sounds like a worthwhile trip and yes, the weather was too good for staying indoors in the dark. It's a great area for castles, isn't it, what with Walmer, Deal, Dover, and various ruins. We didn't seem to find anywhere particularly good to eat but we spent a lot of time looking. Even the usual chain restaurants were mostly unrepresented.

I've never been to Fire and Stone, I assuming they do posh pizzas and pasta? Anyone been to Fire and Stone?

Apparently they are yummy according to my friend. So worth going to!

Ive been to the one at Covent Garden.. Theres only 4 or 5 pastas but plenty of choice for the pizzas.
Its ok, wasnt the best pizza in the world, but for free Ill be going back again

Oh Dear! That doesn't sound good. Hopefully they don't have this problem at Spitafields given it's brand new
