I've been on a Revolution marathon, it has a lot of Lost elements in it (the music/the flashbacks) which come from havng JJ Abrahams on board. Some of the acting is a little weak but I'm still hooked on it. My list of series needs to stop increasing!

watched Young Adult. Actually a very perceptive film, even though I didn't like it first time I saw it. It probably speaks far more about people these days than movies like This is 40 or I Give It A Year.

watched The Raven, which is a stupid movie even though it tries to be taken seriously. Cusack is very badly miscast, spending his time running round bawling at people. I mean, the stage was set for a really good movie/idea, but that movie simply didn't materialise. Instead you get a film that is workman like and ok, but its a missed opportunity.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

Just watched latest Dallas episode and I don't mind admitting that I blubbed all the way through it! It was very emotional from the very start when the theme music played in a very sombre tempo and tone rather than the usual fanfare, and included a portrait shot of JR. I found all the scenes particularly emotionally charged as you could tell the actors were playing it for real. They had just lost a very close and long-term friend in Larry Hagman just as we have lost a brilliant character and actor. This was all the more poignant for me as I can recall fondly watching the original series as a small boy with favourite members of my family that are sadly all gone now too and I miss them not being here to watch this now.

JR - we miss you. RIP

I watched a film called The Bay, just released on DVD this week it's done documentary style but the shaky camera work does settle after the first 10 mins which made the film more enjoyable for me, a small town plagued by parasites eugh!! it's what my nightmares are made of , in fact i can't think of anything worse than being eaten alive from the inside and i did find myself scratching and wincing a lot while watching LOL

An enjoyable watch if you like that kind of thing (and i do) Barry Levinson's Direction is probably what makes this a little better than your typical eco horror film ;) and the film has left me wondering what's in the water eughhhh!
