No I havent seen Politcian's Wife. Looking at the reviews of "Wife" it may have been more "dynamic" - for want of a better word...

I think if you watched 'Wife', 'Hubby' might make more sense! I still have Parts 2 and 3 of 'Hubby' to watch, but I enjoyed the first episode.

started Being Human USA. Much to my relief its quite good, though never in danger of surpassing the original show, Sam Witwer sports an angelically evil look naturally and the wolf guy has the forever expression of a sorry puppy, so that's about ok whislt being sufficiently different from the old show. So the cast are pretty well chosen with the exception of Sally, the 'Annie' ghost. She comes across trying to copy Annie's mannerisms in series 1 but she lacks the timing or mannerisms to project it properly. Fingers crossed for improvements, or at least that they maintain the momentum they have so far. I hear that Sally gets a lot of tangential development later in the show, she needs it. She has unfortunately a very high bar to measure up to - Annie was by far the strongest character of the original UK trio.

On one count, the US series improves on theUK one, thats the soundtrack, which rocks.

Watched Fallen, about the Vampire Diaries guy cast as an Angel, which I though odd since he LOOKS like a young Angel from Buffy. This is really a superhero miniseries, and suprisingly satisfying tbh.

Finally Labyrinth, not the amazing movie, but the show of the crappy Mosse book. Its kinda dumb, like a bad tv movie, but does include some cool concepts, spooky scenes nice theme music and a decent cast. Watch it at night, but you'll have forgotten it by morning. EDIT - scratch that, this show is crap beyond belief. Twishite for housewives.
Note - crap writers should be banned from writing books about sacred relics like the Holy Grail. They drag our country's mythology through the gutter.

Thought I'd get through the episodes of Boss (Kelsey Grammer's new show) I recorded on More4 and I'm a bit disappointed really. Thought it had all the ingredients that would be right up my street and based in my second favourite city in the world too! But it's really quite dull. The story telling is not very coherent and quite frankly I couldn't care less about the fate of any of the characters. Not good, considering I'm 6 episodes into a set of 8!

I do like the way it is shot, but I feel it's just a distraction from the poor character development and lack of a complex but equally compelling storyline. Not sure I'll bother with the next season.

Anyone watch The Murder Workers on C4? I'm watching on +1, it's so sad, poor little girl sitting looking at old family photo's putting her finger over her dad's face saying she doesn't like to see his face as he killed her mum. It's heartbreaking.
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

the rather awesome Hannibal, which is better even than The Following, even if its quite grim for 60 minutes throughout.

Just to balance out the grimness, also finished Happy Endings Season 1, which is basically Friends for the 21st century. Though HE starts really weak in the first episode, it gets better and better each ep, and I am now looking forward to Season 2.
