Yep, we've got it coming up Kingsland Road (Hackney) close to us on July 21 so we've marked our calendars accordingly. Some of us are looking forward to The Olympics (don't worry, Beate, I know you're not in that group!).

I got an email from TFL too, don't know why though, as I can't remember signing up to anything with them.

That torch seems to be going everywhere as even in darkest Surrey (and not the posh part), we will even be on the route - plus, of course, we have the cycling event, though fortunately I should be away that weekend. The National Trust has already announced that there will be no public access to Box Hill for days before and afterwards.

People who have missed out on Olympic tickets are being given another chance to go to the Games in a fresh sale starting today.
Some 900,000 more tickets are being sold and are specifically being made available to the 1.2million fans who lost out in previous ballots.
Events featuring in the Sunday's draw include hockey, tennis, football and beach volleyball.
More tickets, including athletics, swimming, cycling and diving, go on sale in the coming days.
The latest sale is for people who did not get any tickets in the first ballot and then were not able to or did not apply the second time they were made available.
Another 70,000 tickets for the Olympic Park will be on offer for this group from May 17 and on May 23 all the unsold tickets for the Games will be put on general release.
Organisers of the Games have come under fire for the complicated ballot system for tickets, which has seen many fans left disappointed.
Different tickets will be available over the next five days, from 11am each day.
They are:
:: May 13 - beach volleyball, hockey, tennis, wrestling, football;
:: May 14 - athletics - marathon, Athletics - race walk, canoe slalom and sprint, cycling - track, shooting, swimming, volleyball, weightlifting;
:: May 15 - diving, equestrianism, handball, swimming - marathon, synchonrised swimming, table tennis, water polo;
:: May 16 - badminton, basketball, boxing, fencing, gymnastics, judo, sailing, taekwondo;
:: May 17 - archery, basketball, cycling (BMX, mountain bike, road), modern pentathlon, rowing, triathlon, Olympic Park tickets.
Tickets that are not sold on any day will be carried forward. Fans will only be able to b*y up to four tickets for one sport.
Once they have b*ght tickets, they will not be able to b*y any more during the five-day period.

Nonsense I tried b*ying tickets just now. It made me wait 20 minutes in a queue whilst it checked ticket availability. Then it said none left. And I'd clicked right on the dot at 11am!

What if people applied for swimming, athletics, diving and basketball? Got nothing apart from something unpopular like basketball, can they not b*y the swimming, athletics tickets now?

Yeh just for people that didn't get any at the 1st round (like me). Right now there's athletics + beach volleyball, hockey, tennis, wrestling, football available to b*y. except when you actually try to b*y it, the site makes u wait for 10-15min each time (per ticket!) before telling you that there's none left. It doesnt remove the ticket from the website though, so some other poor guy is going to spend another 10-15 min waiting before he gets told there's none left too.

Its all a scam to make it look like there's a lot of tickets left, when in reality there's either nothing left or its at super high price points like £725 per ticket.
