I have lost friends to drink and drugs at young ages, and to Aids. It never gave a wake up call to any of their circle. After a few weeks, the binging etc carries on as if nothing happened. I have been and am on anti depressants most of my adult life. I have taken drugs drink, you name it I've done it. I've felt like ending it all but would never do that as it hurts those around me and I'd never do that, even though it would be better for me. I just find the where with all to maintain a mostly normal life because I have responsibilities. I could go on sick leave indefinately but I don't. YOun have good times and bad times but you just get on with it and think of the good things and good times

As for Amy Whinehouse, no one knows what happened yet, no one will ever know if its an accident, one drink or cocktail too many or something else. A waste of a life, but she was not strong enough to deal with rehab not even with the support and backing she had

Brilliant artist... Definitely

We can't take away from the great talent that this incredible woman had. It's just a shame she got caught up in a lifestyle that was just too much for her poor body to handle!!!

His most famous film - at least outside of Greece - is probably Zorba the Greek.

3 people in Birmingham are dead, they were run down by rioters while defending their local shops...

If I have read correctly they were 3 brothers, one of them was married in March and expected his first baby in 4 months... This is just the very definition of tragedy... Apparently the rioters run them over with their car for no apparent reason, they didn't kill them trying to steal from them, they simply headed for the pavement and hit them on purpose, ironically enough - without a specific purpose apart from complete disregard for human life.

RIP, hope they police find the people who did this.
