Re: Killing Bono
Saw this in Liverpool 1 and what a load of rubbish. Not sure if it was the film or the idiots behind me that kept kicking the back of my chair throughout the film made me want to get out of there, but either way, it wasnt for me. 4/10

Re: Killing Bono
Saw this last night. It was an OK film. For a comedy there were not enough laughs for me.

Re: Killing Bono
were the accents accurate? I think they sounded lovely...
My 2014 Unlimited Films: 11/100
Re: Killing Bono
i thought this could have been a good movie but it was way too long and dragged which made it boring and unfunny...i definitely wouldnt recommend it, i nearly fell asleep at one point -3/10
Re: Killing Bono
I like a good rock'n'roll story every now and then, the trials and tribulations of trying to make it in a band, all the ups and downs so many musicians will identify with, etc. I liked some of the music here and there were a few laughs, but at nearly 2 hours the film is just too long. I'd like to know how much of it is actually true (turning down the big support slot just sounds so moronic it's hard to believe it really happened).
Postlethwaite and Serafinowicz were great, and I liked Krysten Ritter as Gloria too. Agree the boys' Irish accents were a bit dodgy in places, and also when Neil goes back to Dublin to his old band members (supposedly 10 years later), they hadn't aged a day and still looked like teenagers!? So not a great film, but fun to see once I suppose.. 6/10

Re: Killing Bono
Saw this at Marble Arch last night, once again shame it was half empty. Maybe I should say it was half full like the glass ... But I enjoyed it, not too demanding, quite funny in places, I thought Ivan was well done and there is a little interview with the real Neil and Ivan in the Telegraph today.

Re: Killing Bono
The screening tonight has been cancelled at the hotel apparently due to some technical difficulties.

Re: Killing Bono
It's not a good sign, bad reviews for this, bad reviews for Sucker Punch, Mars needs Moms absolutely bombing at the box office. It's not been a vintage spring for films....
