hmm I work with a French guy and his name is pronounced Seemo not Simoan. Listen any chance to make a dig at this film may make my headache go awaycanadian_turtle wrote:Haha that wasn't a girl's name, that was the French variant!

Re: Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked
Snowing here this morning and wondered if I should just stay in the warm house instead of venturing out but was meeting a friend so went to Cineworld, Fountainpark which was about 95% full. But why do people with very young children come minutes before it starts and expect to find four seats together!
No goodies here for us - no popcorn, food, face painting - ziltch!!! The film was supposed to be in 3D but wasn't and started 15 minutes late. Probably we should have had trailers in 3D before the film so they would be cancelled. Had my RBS card ready but no one asked to see it. Two security guards checking bags before going in.
Having never seen a Chipmunk movie before I wasn't sure what to expect - but I do now!!
Bearable but not memorable. 4/10.

Yep - armed with 3D glasses and was only 2D. Doin't think it really made the slightest difference to be fair. I wonder if kids can actually hear the ultrasonic squeaks that emanated from the cartoons. Lol. Maybe the autotune was turned up too high.biggins wrote:Snowing here this morning and wondered if I should just stay in the warm house instead of venturing out but was meeting a friend so went to Cineworld, Fountainpark which was about 95% full. My borrowed rent-a-kid enjoyed it so that made one of us at least. Lol.

Cineworld Unlimited is cheating! ;-)

Oh dear -- I got tickets for my niece and her children as a special treat. Wonder if they'll be speaking to me now?

Depends on how tiny the children are I guess! And how forgiving the adult.

Alvin And The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked is lazy, contrived and slightly odd. Fittingly, so is my review. http://wp.me/pU0l8-HO
