I think all the predictions about congestion in London were alarmist, certainly so far as today was concerned. Not only were there warning announcements at stations all week but I even received an e-mail from a theatre advising me to check travel arrangements and beware of road closures, yet if anything I thought it was quieter today than usual. Presumably tomorrow is when it will all kick off...
