I agree, the above pretty much sums it up. A very powerful film.

So many moments when I think there must have been something in my eye :tears: from the obvious highs and lows of people's searches for family to the tiny moments when the power of humanity really shone through the darkness
the guy lending Ewan his phone especially was an incredible moment
Performances were excellent especially the boy playing Lucas, even Ewan was pretty good.

Interesting that this is coming out near Life of Pi, two very different takes on human survival
Didn't Pi even say 'which story would you rather watch?' Well I'd choose this one, I thought it was much more powerful and said a lot more about the human spirit
Saw this yesterday and thought it was a really nice film, had me in tears! The OH thought it was lacking another perspective - more about the loss everyone faced and so on - but also enjoyed it. 8/10

Saw this film tonight at the Cameo. It will stay with me for a long time! Brilliant performances from the cast, there was no messing about with this hard hitting true story, I had a tear drop off my chin! 10/10

Brilliant film - Excellent performances all around but especially from Naomi Watts and Tom Holland. The effects were great too and it was just well directed as well. Full marks all around - I would definitely watch this again !

Went and saw this using 2 free O2 moments tickets, I wanted to see Skyfall and my other half wanted to see this. Based on the reviews I gave in, and glad I did. Wow! When I saw the original trailer I thought it had promise but would end up being a standard Hollywood disaster movie, how wrong I was! You know a film is good when you walk out of a free screening and you would have gladly pa*d to see it.

Saw this film this week with Orange Wednesdays and thought it was good. No more no less. My mate however was sniffly and emotional from start to finish! I liked the start of the movie best and the underwater and tsunami scenes. The children acting were excellent. Some scenes a wee bit too gory in the special effects department, but overall a decent film. Would have liked a bit more info at the end of the film on the credits as to the fate of the other characters involved in the script. 6/10

Great film with brilliant effects and emotional.

That was the Birmingham screening wasn't it? Surprised it wasn't that busy because usually there packed but perhaps it's because of the early morning start, but it's great it was at Birmingham Broadway Plaza instead of New Street because New Street is rubbish.
