Part of me prefers those because its really awkward watching a movie shot in 3D in 2D (see: Harold and Kumar 3D). Regardless I am so excited for this movie, and the reviews seem to be getting better and better. Cannot wait for Tuesday!

I have already checked the showing times and hopefully going next Friday after work :cross:

The review embargo has been lifted. To be honest, I'm not going to read anymore. Don't want to stumble across any spoilers.

I was lucky enough to catch this at a press screening last night at the Empire Leicester Square, it was a bit of a palaver waiting for all the international press to pick their seats before us mere mortals were finally allowed in, but thankfully still managed to get a great seat...

In the end after all the hype, I really enjoyed Into Darkness, it's action packed, its pace is relentless, some of the set pieces and scenery are breathtaking, there is a lot of humour, few familiar faces/items pop up unexpectedly, and new additions to the cast are all great, particularly Benedict Cumberbatch. For a long-term Trekkie like me, there were one or two things about the plot I didn't like (I won't say what just yet!), but the fact that this is the alternate timeline makes it easier to digest. Overall, it's a really good follow-up to the 2009 reboot, and an excellent blockbuster even if you're not a Trek fan. I'd like to watch it again in 2D (didn't think much of 3D, as per usual), and maybe in IMAX too, but for now I'll rate it 8/10.

I doubt it, the comp I posted is for tickets during normal screenings next weekend.

Just watched Star Trek on Channel 4. Had almost forgotten just how excellent it is.

I ♥ Quinto. Gutted I'm not in London so couldn't go to the premiere, he's the nicest guy ever.
