Re: Now You See Me
Went to see this tonight and thought it was brilliant. Brilliantly acted by all. Didn't see it coming who was involved...

Re: Now You See Me
Really enjoyable film that keeps you guessing. Plenty of familiar actors help pull this together. Wasn't expecting Sir Michael either. Slightly let down by Michael Cera's pipsqueak-voiced "brother" Jesse Eissenberg though. He sooooo needs a vocal coach (or an adjustment to his balls!)
Loved the tricks - did anyone else get the right playing card that was lit on a building? Some were a bit too quick and camera-trickery, especially when the likes of Dynamo can pull them off making you feel like you are standing right next to him - no quick changes of angle or camera etc.
Will be worth a second watch in a few years I think.
A healthy solid 8/10.
(My last Esso voucher....sniff).

Loved this film. Completely reminded me of Hustle. Loved all the twists and turns. Probably one of my favourite films of the year so far.

Re: Now You See Me
Very much enjoyed this film and the twist at the end, although I was hoping for a better 3rd trick. I'm hoping that when I watch it again, more will be revealed.

Re: Now You See Me
Just home from seeing this.
Done really well. But 3rd trick wasn't as good. Liked the twist at end. I thought someone else
And would have preferred not knowing until end how all the tricks were done. 7/10

Re: Now You See Me
A movie about magic should not need to resort to using so much CGI trickery. At the end of it all, it just feels like a deliberate con. It is an undeniably slick production no doubt, but this element ruins it entirely.
I couldn't possibly score it higher than a 5. The Prestige, an easy 9/10, is still the king of magic movies.
