Yes it is nice for us old folk to get out!! Managed to get across the road without any help and didn't need a zimmer frame!!

At least folk of "a certain age" know how to behave themselves and not play with mobile phones etc. during the film, Newclot - sorry I mean Newdot!

Thanks for coming to my rescue ladies
I too enjoyed my outing and Ring and Ride got me home just in time for my meals on wheels. Yes we do know how to behave in public

Re: Summer in February
Newdot, I have news for you - you are going to be old one day too - THEN you can be rude - not now.
Now let's leave it at that. This thread is not about the elderly, it's about a film some of us enjoyed but most didn't. Whichever age they were.

Re: Summer in February
Lovely to get a free picture on a Sunday morning, and one with beautiful scenery too.
Like period drams and loved Downton and was keen to see 'Matthew Crawley' from Downton in a different role but I fear I preferred Downton to this.
Non the less, altho a bit slow at times quite watchable and happy went to see it but only 5/10 from me too I think
Nice to catchup with Biggins and Stuartboy.
highlight of the day had to be the weather!!

Re: Summer in February
Would like to point out i'm 21, and certainly not 'of a certain age' and however enjoyed it!Astonishingly, the screening was packed & no one walked out. That said, the audience were of "a certain age" & probably glad of a day out. Bless.
That being said I did think Dominic Cooper's character was a douche and couldn't get my head around Florence seemingly finding a bottle of cyanide hidden in 'not so secret' places everytime she was feeling low. Felt sorry for the captain on his return and the fact that he had a son he'd never known about

Was more of a 'documentary' film though, would possibly have done better on TV in association with the BBC :)
3/10 Purely because for me, it has no re-watch factor!

Re: Summer in February
i watched this film this morning.. set in 1913 about a group of young artists living in Cornwall, its a very sweet love story. i thoroughly enjoyed it.. it was a real feelgood film with a touch of sadness, but it made a change from violence, it also made it for me by this being a true story.. i would highly recommend this film but more to the female population..
