I too saw this again today and actually very much enjoyed the short beforehand, which I didn't before.

As for the main feature, not being quite as focussed on the story as I was before (on my first viewing I was in the beginning too worried for Elsa to expose herself and during mostly all the rest of the film trying to work out which sister would end up with Hans and which with Kristoff) I got to admire the stunning visuals much more and I am in awe of the amazingly realistic and gorgeous animation, particularly when it comes to the snow and ice scenes in the film.

10/10 (again)

My favourite animation film of the year, ticked every box a great movie for all the family and one I would definitely recommend 9/10 from me o/

Also the short mickey movie before Frozen was one of the best 3D things I have seen (except there were problems the first few minutes at Didsbury) they way they mixed the modern with the old black and white was a very impressive.

Really enjoyed this film. Great for Christmas time. Loved the 3D animation at the beginning.

Good of Sky to use a North London cinema (Staples Corner) rather than just South East London (02). o/ Thanks for the company ritamistry and lovely to meet your little niece, and also lovely to bump into funthing.

Definitely up there with the best Disney animations. The spectacular and stunning scenes are just gorgeous to watch. The voices of the cast are superb. I had a lump in my throat, it was so incredibly touching. Loved Olaf and Sven, the script, the songs, a fabulous fairy tale, with some unpredictable twists. However, it felt a little long, maybe the "lethargic" that funthing touched on.
Such a shame that Elsa, such an interesting and tragic character has no love interest, whereas Anna (I thought her name was Honor all the way through!) has two, so I felt deprived and unsatisfied that it was not more of a happy ending with Elsa finding romantic love, as well as being reconciled with her sister. I was so routing for Elsa to find that love, in that beautiful ice palace where she was able to be herself, after being isolated behind closed doors all her life, I suppose that would make the story so predictable! ;)
9/10

I also loved the Mickey Mouse 3D short at the beginning.
I'm actually quite satisfied with how it ended in the film. She can still find romance if she feels so inclinded but at least it gives the message that it's not just being dependant on a love interest that can give you the ultimate feeling of happiness (there is nothing wrong with that of course, as Anna shows, but it shouldn't be the only possible way either). Elsa is a strong person in her own right, not defined by a prince/man. Her happiness was found in regaining her freedom. No longer having to hide who she truly is is what ultimately gave her a happily ever after.
Enjoyable and kept the children in the audience enthralled judging from their behaviour.

I thought it had a "grown up" feel to it, which was a good thing.

The short,
straddling both worlds,
was quite good too.

WIQ really need to get their act together. They made people queue up at the till for the 3D glasses, only to hand out kids glasses to everyone at first, so they had to get them all exchanged. Then there was a trailer or something at the beginning which no one could watch as it was in green and pink only, and definitely not in 3D.

Things picked up considerably though when the lovely Mickey Mouse short was played. It used 3D really well and cleverly changed between colour and black & white, plus taking place in a cinema (complete with mobiles ringing and a woman with her nachos).

Frozen itself made good use of the 3D as well and was simply gorgeous. Stunning landscape, lovely songs, a cute reindeer and an even cuter snowman, plus two strong female leads. There were some funny digs at men ("All men eat their bogeys!") and the act of true love at the end proved you don't have to wait for a man to make things happen. It was an all-round fun, clever, beautiful film. And I had a lump in my throat at the end.

10/10

Westfield was a lovely place to see this, as the Atrium is a beautiful sparkly area with icicles hanging off the 'branches', and the ice rink below.

Could have done without the endless adverts before the film, but they were worth sitting through for what was to come. The Mickey Mouse short was fantastic - updating an old original Mickey cartoon with colour and 3D - probably the best 3D I've seen in ages.

Frozen itself was amazing. I'm not really one for all the singing etc in Disney films, but these songs were so good, I could just see this as a Stage Musical. The story, the production and images were fantastic, especially the snow and ice, so beautiful.
this will be a Disney Classic for years to come. 10/10
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

I agree with what everyone else has said, a future Disney classic in the making, an excellent movie.

And the Mickey Mouse short was very good and clever as well.

Thanks to Suel3288 as well whose extra tickets meant I could rescue a friend's 6 year olds birthday party from watching Free Birds and see this instead.

When asked if they liked it they all said 'I want to see it again!' I think I agree with them 9/10 o/
