Re: Invictus
Some screenings outside London AND not on Sunday 31 would be helpful, too, but the film opens on Friday 5, so it's not promising...
Re: Invictus
I have decided not to bother getting tickets for this. It looks really dull and worthy middle brow and biopics are rarely worth the time. Same with The Boys Are Back, not worth my time when I can watch a DVD of something great.

Re: Invictus
Missed out on Greenwich (both options) so I'll have to try for the LBC screenings. I find Greenich is ok to get there in the evenings but it is a bit of a pain on the weekend.

just seen it
absolutely amazing. it was a moving tribute to the captain of the rugby team, mandela and jonah lomu. i think morgan freeman brought sincere gravitas and captured mandela's body language really well. i cried several times with the sheer pleasure of it. both freeman and damon gave exemplary performances. it will be like the shawshank remption where everyone sees it eventually, if only through recommendations via word of mouth, and smiles thoughtfully at the very satisfying conclusion. what a wonderful start to my sunday morning.
also i have have the poem invictus hanging in my hallway. i was so moved to hear it read aloud by free man. i thought i would burst with joy.
