We are all in total agreement. It was awful. Tilda Swinton was far too young to be playing the role of the mother in the first place and the whole thing was so ridiculous. I found the music to be extremely irritating and earbashing. I think most everyone left the cinema completely underwhelmed. The only positive I can give is that it was shown in the big cinema (formerly a theatre) at the Haymarket and not in the basement.

My friend and I were guilty of laughing at the end. We laughed at the sudden ending and at how awful the film was. As we walked out, a lady told us that the film hadn’t ended and there was more, she sat back down in her seat again. This was after the first wave of credits...there did seem to be some sort of footage running. By this point we had really had had enough and did what we should have done 2 hours previously and walk out.
This gets a big fat zero for me. Oh well, you win some and lose some...

i pretty much agree with beate. very boring beginning and forced drama at the end.

i was very surprised when the film suddenly ended ... but then didn't. does anyone have any idea what that image was after the credits began? i was squinting but couldn't make it out. just curious.

I think there must have been a God looking out for me yesterday! I was meant to go to the screening of Iam love, but I don't know why I stupidly walked to the Apollo Haymarket and the lady checking the tickets stupidly/luckily let me in even though my printout is a big poster of Iam love and I stupidly waited 1/2 hr by which time it was all too late and I ended up watching Whip It....lol...maybe it wasn't so stupid afterall judging by the comments.

LOL that is halarious. And if you did get caught, you can say you stupidly don't speak the language so went where you felt the screening was! ;)

Well done on getting in! I'd be too concious of doing something like that!

I wasn't conscious of it! I thought the screening of I am love was at the Apollo (obviously I didn't read the print out!)

LOL!

So when did you realise you were at Whip It????!!! After it started or at the end! :P

You were lucky a screening was showing else they would have been so confused or indicate to you what your ticket says! That was Apollo Picadilly (not Haymarket) which is on Lower Regent Street or something and on the road across was Haymarket - easy mistake to make... I think.

But that's how you got away with it. You walked in with total confidence that you were in the right screening so no one questioned you. Big life lesson, LOL.
