so it is a remake of that british one we had free screenings to a couple of years back?
I was hoping the title was a coincidence as I didn't find that particularly funny.

I think you are right. I think I saw it 3 years ago as I recognise the dwarf actor! Wonder if it will be any good.

For those who saw the original british version a few years ago, you will have an intense feeling of deja vu as it uses almost the exact same script. There are a few minor tweaks but it's essentially the same movie. That said, its still a good comedy and if you haven't seen the original you will enjoy it.

It seemed to go down well at Vue Islington, lots of laughter. It was very funny, although the poo jokes were... er... a bit shit. OH loved it. James Marsden on acid was fab!

Haven't seen the original, but this film was very funny, never got boring and had a load of hilarious sub-plots, and 1 toilet scene which i wont describe, but be warned!! lol but overall, very enjoyable, definately worth a watch especially for a great performance by Danny Glover, who i havent seen in a film for a while, 8/10

The Leeds Light (thanks to Steve for getting the nice seats! o/ ), which was incredibly empty. Don't know why there are so few people turning up recently.

I preferred this to the original, which was more like a Brian Rix farce, whereas this one was more like a pacey (extended) sitcom. There were some very funny lines that I do not remember from the original, and somehow the chaos seemed to fit better with this family.

The cast were very good, with several magical performances, including Peter Dinklage (whose facial expressions were brilliant!) and James Marsden (everything he did was really funny - I cannot believe he is Cyclops!).

Not sure it is for everyone, but I enjoyed it! o/
