It was ok. Not very big room but clean, nice bathroom and big telly. We were quite high up and surprisingly it wasn't noisy at all, considering where you are. The decor is a bit bland, all beige and black, and the breakfast (a banana plus some cereal) is a joke, but probably still worth more than a pound! I would go again though, for a pound. Still good value for £29 but maybe only if you live outside London, otherwise why not sleep at home! Unless you want to try and get rooms for the tube strike dates in October and November, LOL.

Lucky you - I missed out again - cant believe it but i did manage to get £9 Central London (Kings Cross) room with Travelodge this morning for the night of my office party (23 Dec) - hardly a consulation prize Hoxton looks lovely - oh well i'll try Hoxton again next time.

I say its always worth a try. Ive gotten it a few times now and once i even got a £1 and a £29 room. But a couple times ive got nothing too. The key i think is to be fast once your at the booking page.

I was so close to getting a £1 one! Clicked on a date, etc., filled all my details in, got to p*ying - sorry, room not available anymore. When I clicked back, all was gone. Damn.
