Sorry, I forgot all about it! It was a double bill last night, my back appeared for a split second towards the end, about 10 minutes before the show ended! And then a split second of my back again, as a crowd of us left the pop-up restaurant! The two guys on my table got more air-time with "mmm, that is nice"!

I think Gordon Ramsey is quite unreasonable with his 'mystery diners'. For example, when that guy ordered some wine the other week and said 'I'm not p*ying for it if I don't like it'. The waiter went OTT when he said he'd call the police if he didn't, but if GR expects diners not to p*y for food when they don't like it, then people can just take the p**.

Likewise, the other week, the mystery diner said the food was not spicy enough, so she asked for them to make it spicier. When it came, she then said it was too spicy and made them change it again.

I might go to one of Ramsey's restaurants one day and do the same to him and see what happens.

Think I might swear like him too...

Yes I think they deliberately act like nightmare customers to test the reaction. To be honest, I would never change my mind again after I have ordered something, especially if the waiter says they have started making it already. That's just plain rude and wasteful.

One of the mystery diners deliberately put one of her hairs in the salad!! The waitress took it back and brought her a new one, apologised and said it was definitely not from their kitchen as they all have short hair!

Exactly, last week the waiter said the mystery shopper could change her order, but because it was already ready, she would have to p*y for both meals. Personally, I think that's fair enough.

Gordon Ramsey said it was the customer's prerogative to change their mind... Well it's not exactly as if they could really resell the meal onto someone else is it?

I was in a Pizza Express once and they didn't bring me the pizza I ordered (same content but different pizza base or something) so I told them but said it's fine, I will eat it. "No no", they said, "we will bring you a new one". "What will happen to this one?" "We'll throw it away." "No you won't", I said, "I will eat it." So I ate it and when the bill came it wasn't even on it! So yes, in a way it was good customer service but you've got to be so careful not to encourage food waste!
