I think i only ever read Kensuke's kingdom which i recently b*ght a copy for as well because i loved it the first time i read it. I think i did read some of Anne Fine's books when i was younger but i don't think any stood out.
I think what the worst thing is that when I read a book i really like, i sometimes forget the title/author and then i can never find it again!

What?!!! Flour babies is a great example as is Goggle Eyes! They both won the Carnegie Medal (as well as other awards) and on top of that Anne Fine was the second Children's Laureate!

I went to a conference recently as part of a project that I am working on at the moment. It was a brilliant conference and I got to meet so many publishers and authors. One of the things they did was let me have loads of junior and teenage fiction books that are uncorrected proof copies (not for publication or resale). A few of them have already been published although the majority are to be published early next year.
There is absolutely no way I can get through all of these books (since I'm not a fast reader and get bored really easily) nor do I have the space at home to accommodate them either so I'm happy to pass them onto any junior/teenage fiction book lovers on FMUK who would like the copy. I am also willing to post some of these to those of you not in London. Remember though, they are uncorrected proof copies so cannot be sold etc. Some of them have really basic covers but the others are the actual cover so you can't even tell it's a proof copy (except when you see the text on the inside/back cover to say it is)!

The Philip Pullman 'Northern Light' books are a very pleasurable read. I highly recommend them to anybody who hasn't read them.
