Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
Many MANY Thanks to a_person for the SFF ENO code.
Castor & Pollux was a nice nite out with an odd story but opera singers, groups of singers, orchestra and mimimal props were well produced.
Some of the cast did strip down to their birthday suit!!!
Thanks again (relieved the code was for me n not VIP)

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
I went to see Matilda last night and it was amazing. I absolutely loved it! I think this is my favourite musical ever. It is so fun, creative, clever, dynamic, charming, funny and heart warming.
I had wanted to see this ever since I found out the music and lyrics were written by Tim Minchin. I even considered going to Stratford to see this before the production moved to the West End. And the songs did not disappoint. Minchin's trademark wit can be seen in all the lyrics which are so fun and tongue in cheek.
The production is also wonderful. I love the colourful set and the lighting effects.
The children were really good too. It is unusual to see such an ensemble made out of such small people!
Marvellous, absolutely marvellous!

@filmcat: Castor and Pollux code was VIP when it was released
On the last 4-5 VIP codes SFF released, they opened the booking to everybody 1 hour or so after! I think it's a pretty smart way of doing it.
@funthing29: ok, this is definitely on my list! maybe January?!

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
ahgh... screwed up today. Was going to the Red Lion for Shakespeare, butturned up at the wrong Red Lion..... flip. The Old one is just a little pub in Islington.
I googled New RL too, but stupid google map still gave me the Old Red Lion's location! The theatre website is a little unclear tbh.
Shame, but it wasnt the main event today so I'm not terrible unchuffed, more bemused at my stupidity. So sorry, CT, I wasted your tickets .

So is the New RL. They aren't that far away from each other, on opposite sides of the main road!raj101 wrote:The Old one is just a little pub in Islington.

I didn't mean that you can actually see one from the other - they aren't that close. But if you turned up to the wrong one it would only take five minutes to walk to the other.raj101 wrote:that has really made me feel totally crap about that night now lol.cliveas wrote:So is the New RL.
